Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am addicted to beauty products.
Whew! Now that we got that out of the way, today I am sharing my 5 favorite beauty products that I use in the morning. While having a beauty product addiction means I love to try the latest and greatest products, I am also savvy enough not to waste my time or money on fads or expensive products just because celebrities endorse them. So below you will find my favs, which range from bargain price to a little pricey.
I don’t know where to start on my Clarisonic. I love, love, love using this on my face. I’m totally a scrubber, so maybe that’s why I love this so much. I have been using my Clarisonic for a little over a year now and have totally noticed a difference in my skin. It’s smoother, my pores are smaller and most importantly, my skin gets uber clean. There’s no residual make-up left behind, only fresh, clean, glowing skin. Yes, it is a little on the pricey side but it is well worth the investment.
This cleanser is my go to cleanser both in the AM & PM. It is super gentle, but still manages to get all the gunk off of your skin. I have sensitive skin and a bit on the oily side, and this cleanser is perfect. It also has a refreshing cucumber scent which I love. Even better it is Paraben-free, sulfate-free, and phthalate-free. So no nasty chemicals on your skin. It too can be a little pricey but when paired with your Clarisonic a little goes a long way and one 5 oz. tube will last you for months.
I love using a toner after I wash my face. Maybe it’s the OCD side of me making sure every last speck of make-up and dirt is gone. In the morning, after I wash with my Clarisonic and Fresh Soy Cleanser, I dab some of this toner on a cotton ball and gently swipe it all over my face and neck. Since using the tonic, I have noticed the oh so subtle sunspots that were starting to appear on my cheeks are fading. I love Burt’s Bees products because they too have no parabens or phthalates and price is right too.
This is a nice, lightweight moisturizer that I use most of the time by itself but it also absorbs nicely if you wear it under your make-up. I go make-up free most days to let my skin breath, so the fact that it is SPF 15 and has a bit of a mattifying effect is nice for my skin, which tends to have an oily T zone. The only thing I am not 100% happy about is the fact that it does contain a few of the chemicals I try to avoid in beauty products. For me it’s about balance and I have to pick and choose my battles. I figure I am more likely to get skin cancer from all my sunbathing than from putting a little moisturizer on my face. So for now this is what I’m using and works for me.
Last but not least, I hate having dry lips but the only thing I hate more than that are sticky lips – yuck! For me nothing says kiss-me more than soft, moisturized lips. Plus the grapefruit scent is so delicious!
