Oh Happy Day! I heart Fridays and today I’m excited to play along with a few of my favorite blogs – Narci from Grace and Love blog, Erika from A Little Bit of Everything and Andrea from Momfessionals and share some of my favorite things with you.
Two words. Coconut. Coffee.
Coffee is a necessity in my life. In fact, this is kinda how it is around our house in the morning:
The hubby and I tried this coffee a few weeks ago when we were perusing CostCo and we were hooked! Best of all, you don’t need to add any additional creamer or milk. Simply add hot water, stir and go. You will be buzzing (literally) all day. I’m a label reader so let me save you some time – there is no nastiness in this at all. It’s dairy free, gluten-free and trans fat-free plus, you get all the health benefits of coconut! You can purchase it online through Amazon, but if you have a Costco near you, it is less expensive there.
Charity Miles app. This is my very favorite app! It allows you to raise money for the charity of your choice (they have a TON to choose from) simply by walking, running or biking. I’ve been using this app since September and have raised a little over $40 for my charity (Operation Smile) simply by walking my dog or going for a run. King B uses it every time he goes for a bike ride and raises money for Wounded Warriors. You can also join a team and see who in your team is in the lead, etc. It’s a great motivator to get out and get moving and do some good while your at it. You can learn more by checking the Charity Miles webpage out.
I love all things having to do with home décor and I especially love free! So one of my favorites is changing up the pictures in various frames I have around the house with the seasons or when I get bored! I’m always scouring Pinterest for free printables and these two are my favorite right now. I love the coral and mint colors together. You can check out all the free printables I’ve pinned thus far on my Pinterest page.
I never thought gardening would be a favorite of mine, but I had a real Martha Stewart moment the other night when I picked basil from our organic garden and made homemade pesto to go with our dinner! I seriously have never been prouder of myself. We are already planning what veggies we want to plant next when Spring rolls around. (#justcallmemartha)
Last but not least is my new favorite author. Elin Hilderbrand. I have Shay at Mix and Match Mama to thank for this recommendation. Last month I read Winter Street and Winter Stroll which are 2 out of the series of 3 books. I heard the third book is supposed to come out this month and I. CAN’T. WAIT! My goal for January is to read three books and I was thinking I would add a reading re-cap to my blog at the end of each month with a little book review. I love finding new authors, so if you have a suggestion, please comment above and let me know!
Those are my favorites for this Friday! I’d love to hear about your favorites. Have a great weekend!
