Hi friends and happy Friday. I don’t know about you but some holidays I’m a hot mess. Shopping at the mall the day before Christmas Eve, struggling to find the “right” gift and finding a way to take a family photo without a complete meltdown. Last year was so crazy; I didn’t even send Christmas cards!
This year however I vowed to make this holiday season different. I want to be present and enjoy the season, rather than getting caught up in the chaos that seems to be synonymous with this time of year. So far, my holiday game is on point!
Yesterday was the deadline I set for myself to have all of my Christmas shopping completed and I almost made it. I’m not stressed though as the last few items are gift certificates that I can easily pick up on my next grocery store run. Starting early and doing 90% of my shopping online made all the difference this year.
So I thought I would share a few of the gifts I picked up for the women on my list (ok and myself) in case you are struggling with finding a present for that special person on your list.
BP Stone Stud Earings – $3.98
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I scored these BP Stud earrings the other day for $3.98! I picked up 6 pairs for Dani’s teachers and speech pathologists at school. I personally have the mint green and the clear. They look just like the higher priced, Kate Spade earrings and make any outfit look a bit more sophisticated and put together.
Kate Spade New York Glitter Stud Earrings – $38
If you only have one person to buy for and don’t mind spending a bit more, than these Kate Spade Glitter earrings are a great alternative. I bought them in the turquoise glitter for my sister-in-law for her birthday and the multicolor glitter for a special person on my Christmas list. They would be perfect with a cute dress on New Year’s Eve. In case Santa is reading my blog, I would love a pair for myself!
Baublebar “Ice Initial” Bar Pendant Necklace – $38
This is a modern version of the initial pendent and the perfect gift for any age. I bought it for a teenager on my list as well as a fellow 40-something friend.
American Atelier Monogramed Jewelry Box – $22
And in case you need something for all the jewelry you are buying, this box is more beautiful in person than on the computer screen. My only complaint is that it does not come in a Turquoise T for myself, because the turquoise G that I bought is gorgeous! I’m going to use it as a fancy gift card holder for Dani’s teacher.
Anthropology Ornaments – $14 – $18
My tree is filled with thoughtful ornaments I’ve received over the past 25 years my hubby and I have been together. These two from Anthropology are timeless classics. I bought the pineapple for our tree and the other one as a family gift to give away.
Pajamas – $24 – $44
Who doesn’t want a new pair of cozy pajamas to wear on Christmas morning? I will confess, I did not buy these as gifts for others, but rather myself. These ones from Nordstrom are so unbelievably cozy AND cute, I am wearing them next week at Dani’s Cookies and Cocoa party. The other pair I’m wearing on our Polar Express train ride to the North Pole. Be sure to check Gap for sales because I bought them for 50% off the day after Thanksgiving.
The Body Shop – $18
A bath and body gift set is always a great gift and these ones from The Body Shop come already nicely packaged in a cute box with ribbon. We bought 4 to give to the girls in King B’s office.
Old Navy Sueded Sherpa-Trim Moccasin Slippers – $9
Last on the list is the only item I haven’t personally purchased – yet. I’m hoping I can get to Old Navy in the next day or two and pick up a pair while they are still on sale for $9! The red would match my new Nordstrom pj’s perfectly.
I hope these suggestions help you out and you are able to cross a few ladies off of your list! You can also check out the post I did last week on sweaters (here) which also make great gifts! Next week I’ll share what I may or may not have bought for the men in my life. You can shop any of the items by clicking the links below.
