March Madness is in full swing in our house and I’m not talking about basketball! I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we decided to take on some home improvement projects around the house and what was to be a little kitchen refresh has turned into a full-blown renovation with kitchen cabinets and walls being taken down.
If you follow me on Instagram you saw the hubby do his hilarious homage to Chip Gaines from Fixer Upper on demo day. We love, love, love Fixer Upper and are convinced that we would be besties with Chip and JoJo if we lived in Texas!
My birthday was also this past weekend and we kicked it off a bit early by celebrating with friends for dinner and going to listen to a band afterwards.
My actual birthday, the next day, was spent on the couch because this now 44-year-old mama is not used to staying up that late.
Or drinking that much.
Or dancing that much.
My body is still recovering! But we managed to celebrate with Chinese food and cupcakes (gluten-free of course).
Princess Dani had Science Night at her school last week where she proudly showed off the book she made about the different types of rocks they are studying. I love how she dedicated the book to her dog, cat and teacher . . .no mention of mom or dad! Haha!
And because I really don’t have enough on my plate right now, I’ve decided to pursue my dream of getting my real estate license.
The thought was that I would have more time to dedicate to my studies before the kids get out of school for summer, but so far that is proving difficult. Regardless, I’m super, super excited to finally take steps towards this goal and am doing my best to stay organized with family life and carve out a little time each day to study. That’s what’s been going on with us, would love to hear what you have been up to lately!
